North of Beautiful by Justina Chen Headley

I really enjoyed reading this book as it gave me a whole new perspective on life itself. I learnt many things through the amazing characters in this book, who I grew to love and even seemed to miss after reading the book. I give this book a 9/10 and would recommend it to anyone our age.
This book is about the story of a girl named Terra Rose Cooper, who has the most amazing body anyone, can imagine, but that's not why people always give her a second look. She has a port wine stain that takes up the whole left side of her face (that’s basically a large birth mark on her face). She has had her life completely mapped out from a young age. She's going to finish high school go to a far away college and then get a job as far as possible from home, away from her family and where no one knows her story. That's until she meets Jacob (and his adoptive family) through him she finds her voice, she finds herself, she finds the meaning of true beauty, and in the end she finds love...

  1. Interesting title. What does it mean? You've recommended it to "anyone" but it sounds more like a "girl" book than a "boy" book? I don't know this author - have you read anything else by her?
