Girls In Love by Jacqueline Wilson

This book is another book in the series by Jacqueline Wilson... I'm not sure what number it is. Anyway I liked this book and would give it a 8/10.

This book is about a girl who always feels she is the 'socially awkward' one in her group of friends. After the school break she comes back and feels even more left out as her friends have the most exciting things to share. So she 'exaggerates' about the 'not-so-handsome' Dan she meet in the holidays, and turns him into the ultimate dream guy (who she is supposedly dating).
Eventually her friends find out, but they don't really get mad or anything.

I liked the fact that this book showed how the girls were really good friends and were able to look past the little problems, and just be there for each other, like real friends should...

  1. You really do like Jacqueline Wilson, don't you?! It's tempting to keep reading (and re-reading) an author that you like, isn't it? I would love to see you start to read a wide range of more challenging books, Simran. I think that would help prepare you for NCEA Levels 1, 2 and 3.
